first get the molar mass of MgCl2, then divide your grams by that.......
molarity= no. of moles/Liter
determine moles of MgCl2: 0.96g MgCl2/molec. wt MgCl2= ? moles MgCl2
? moles MgCl2 x 1000 ml/500ml= molarity

Molarity is mass divided by volume. Hopefully you know which is your mass and which is your volume or else I'd say you are in trouble.

2.02*10^-2
first get the molar mass of MgCl2, then divide your grams by that. Molarity is then mol/liters
