Why is evolution always positioned to oppose creationism?

It was obvious to me that creatures were competitive and that the ones with traits more adaptable to survival would eat the lesser..or not interact with them..so on and so forth. I watched them eat.......
Not to get into a religious debate..

I remember the first time I heard of evolution in school. I wasn't exactly blown away.

As a child I spent an obsessive amount of time observing natural events as well as attending church on sundays. I particularly enjoyed examining insects and spiders as well as other small animals. It was obvious to me that creatures were competitive and that the ones with traits more adaptable to survival would eat the lesser..or not interact with them..so on and so forth.

I watched them eat..lay eggs..I watched the eggs hatch. I learned alot just by looking at things. There was no direct interference between listening to a priest talk for an hour in mass and observing competitive lifeforms exist and interact..

So I noticed differences. I saw things live die and be born.. it wasnt exactly shocking to me that different traits excelled in survival. I mean..Ive seen thousands of different grass spiders. Some were faster, stronger..more responsive..

Evolution is only opposed at all because a lot of religious people refuse to accept the science because of their particular interpretation of a religious text (or more often, the interpretation they have been taught to believe).

Many religious people are happy to accept that evolution is correct, and interpret religious books to fit with the facts of evolution.

Even if agree with evolution; you have to admit that at the very beginning something got created somehow (Not necessary by God) so it can evolve. Creation is the beginning of evolution. The very fact that we have male and female makes the strongest case for intelligent design.

That is incorrect. Evolutionists have plenty to argue among themselves. Take, for example, how the dinosaurs actually became extinct, or which reptile is the true ancestor of birds. Scientists simply don't need to waste time arguing with creationists, if they can help it, but creationists simply won't go away. They are persistent and insist they are right even after they have been proven wrong again and again.
