help me! heres the question:Scientists recently have proposed a reorganization of the phylogenetic system of classification to include the domain, a new taxonomic category higher (more inclusive) than the Kingdom category as shown in the following diagram. (its not much. title says universal ancestor and branches out. domain bacteria(eubacteria) domain archaea (archaebacteria) and domain eukarya(eukaryotes)Describe how this classification scheme presents different conclusions about the relationships among living orgagnisms than those presented by the previous five kingdom system of classification.......
I'm stressing you guys, help me! here's the question:
Scientists recently have proposed a reorganization of the phylogenetic system of classification to include the domain, a new taxonomic category higher (more inclusive) than the Kingdom category as shown in the following diagram. (it's not much. title says universal ancestor and branches out. domain bacteria(eubacteria) domain archaea (archaebacteria) and domain eukarya(eukaryotes)
Describe how this classification scheme presents different conclusions about the relationships among living orgagnisms than those presented by the previous five kingdom system of classification. Describe 3 kinds of evidence that were used to develop the taxonomic scheme above, and explain how this evidence was used. the evidence may by structural, physiological molecular or genetic. Describe 4 of the characteristics of the universal ancestor

I honestly don't know what the hell they are asking me to do like wtf kind of answer do they want from me? I feel like this is another language or something. like do they want me to describe each domain and state the differences between them? and for AP bio i have the campbell book 7th edition it would be extra help for me if you tell me where I can find this information because i can't find too much information. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me you guys i need to get this one essay thing done i'm scared no one will answer this :(

I'll see if I can break this down. Domains are new, and go above Kingdoms, so when you classify, say, a lion, it would look like this:

Domain Eukaryota - Kingdom Animalia - Phylum Chordata - Class Mammalia... and so on.

It's one step up from classifying things according to kingdom. There are only three domains, so the way they classify things is broader.

There are separate kingdoms for plants, animals, and fungus, but all three of those are in the same domain. Because those three are now in the same group, it changes how scientists see their relationship, compared to before when Kingdom was the highest form of classification.
