Im stuck on the following questions..

1. Choose a hereditary metabolic disorder and describe the genetic cause of the disorder and its consequences?

2.The following diagram shows part of the metabolic pathway involved in the biosynthisis of the essential amino acid phenylalanine.
Chorismate--(enzyme1)-->Prephenate--(e…
Suggest a possible consequence to an animal if this metabolic pathway failed to operate?

3.Explain how DNA can carry large amounts of genetic information?

All help for any of the above questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

2. Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid. This means that we cannot directly synthesize it, and it must be somehow supplied in our food (at least the building blocks). Too little phenylalanine may cause anhedonia (an inability to experience pleasure), confusion, emotional agitation, depression, decreased alertness and memory, inability to feel remorse for or recognize consequences of behavior and the lack of sympathy or connection.

3. DNA can carry a large amount of information because of its structure, specifically the bases. A, T, G, and C all made up the "genetic code". And DNA can arrange these into codons which can be read by proteins/polymerases. Essentially, the length of DNA increases as the number of base pairs and the number of base pairs is proportional to how much information DNA can carry. It is stabilized by hydrogen bonds, and so can hold information securely.
