I am no expert on this but I will offer my best guesses. Could be dryness due to cold weather if you live in a cold climate. If you haven't done anything to it the only other thing I can think of is since you are still young and your body is most likely still growing that hormones could be the cause of the pain.
While I don't know all the things that affect young men when they are in puberty, it may be part of your growing pains. I have heard of guys who had even a small lump under their nipple while they were growing but it went away after a short while and every thing was fine. So it may be something like that.
My best recommendation to you is to try to leave it alone so that you don't inadvertently make the pain worse by messing with it. But at the same time keep an eye on it and see how it feels over the next few days. (By that I mean if the pain gets worse or better or if any other strange symptoms start to develop.)
If it goes away and doesn't come back great. Now if it actually gets worse or something else happens please talk to your parents or guardians to let them know that you think something might be wrong. Not to scare you or anything but if it is getting worse the best thing to do is to have a Doctor look at it to see if there is anything really wrong. Hopefully there will not be and it doesn't sound like there is, but the Doctor will be able to tell you the best. And then at least you will have some real piece of mind knowing that nothing is wrong.
Well I hope that helps. Best wishes.
