Why don't people believe in evolution

naive, ignorant morons-I do believe in evolution but the best argument Ive heard against it that causes one to wonder is when you think of all the things that evolved from which benefit is only derived in that very last stage of its evolution. Why would all the interim steps be rewarded? Like - half an eye does no good to anyone so that stage where it didnt provide sight yet but is a vulnerable place for getting hit - why would that go any further?-Well, if science contradicts the Bible,......
I mean relay....

Well, if science contradicts the Bible, then the Bible must be right because the Bible is God's inerrant world. The Bible is God's literal inerrant word because the Bible says it is. The Bible is correct in this instance because it is God's literal inerrant word because God says it is so in the Bible. Because the Bible is correct which we know because the Bible is God's inerrant word because God said it was so in the Bible. We know the Bible can be trusted because it is the literal inerrant word of God ...

Also because people want to believe, which is often the first step to believing in something even if the evidence is shaky to begin with.

Evolution has very profound implications that not even some believers fully understand. It can be a very scary concept that shakes the foundation of the ego.

EDIT- to answer Heather- there was no "half an eye". There was most likely a group of cells that were simply photo-sensitive (aware of light and thus its directional source) that evolved into what we now understand as the human eye.

i wonder the same thing.

think of every concept in life like the game "telephone."
even in the smallest of circles, when one thing is said in anothers ear and they pass it on, then THEY pass it on, it will come out different, almost always.
