If a ballon was released into the atmosphere what would happen to the size of it once it gets higher in the sky?

answers:
Chris Ancor say: Ballon is a form of dancing. You can't do it in the sky.

Ronald 7 say: It depends on how strong it really is
A normal Party Balloon would just go up about 50 feet and burst
But a typical Weather Balloon can reach 200, 000 feet and just stay at that altitude
A Balloon of any kind has to filled with a substance that is lighter than air to rise

Starrysky say: Depends on type of balloon. Hot air with a nylon envelope will stay the same size until it reaches some maximum altitude, then stop rising. It will sink when the air inside cools and condenses, decreasing size and lift of the balloon.
Hydrogen or helium balloons will expand until they pop or they stop rising.

MysteryGuy say: P = m / v
Pressure gets lower as you get higher.
Pressure is basically mgh
H gets lower so the pressure gets lower. Also if mass must be conserved then the volume/density must change to make up for it.

y say: That depends on what the balloon was filled with to start with. Both the lower pressures and the lower temp would play a role.

Acetek say: it would expand until it bursts
-
Ben say: It would become the size of a peanut that was larger than a lump of problems.
