Could happen much sooner if war, disease, asteroid etc intervenes.

Sciencenut say: I personally believe that all humans will be required to leave Earth in ~500 years. The Earth will then be allowed to return to its former wild state, following the great anthropogenic extinction event that we humans have caused.

Starrysky say: Hard to speculate, because there are many causes to make that time much shorter.
Nuke warhead exchange--a couple hours. There is a reason why the Union of Atomic Scientists have set the doomsday clock to 3 minutes to midnight. That is the closest to end ever in last 70 years.
Asteroid approaching from direction of the sun--a day or less.
Gamma ray burster beam--a week, maybe less if you are above ground and outside when it happens.
Coronal mass ejection--maybe a couple months after the electric grids are destroyed and no food and water are distributed.
Plague--a year, maybe, if ebola or similar.
Super volcano discharge--a couple years of slow starvation for most.
Climate change--a few centuries, but just maybe. And only for a very few selected individuals.

Most scientists expect our species to last for many centuries, but possibly in very reduced numbers and/or in pre-industrial living conditions. The continuing increase of the human population is the basic threat facing the planet's ability to support chordate life of any kind.
