Since Neptune and Uranus are blue does that mean they have oxygen in them?

answers:
ngc7331 say: nitrogen, its also why our sky is blue
-
quantumclaustrophobe say: From Tufts University Astronomy: The blue-green, turquoise color of Uranus and the blue, indigo color of Neptune come from methane in their clouds.
-
Ronald 7 say: They both have small traces of Oxygen in them
But they are still mostly Hydrogen Deuteride with Methane and Amonia
Any Oxygen my be tied up with Water or Ice
-
poornakumar b say: There is afr more of Hydrogen & its compounds in them in comparison to Oxygen (Earth has only a fifth in its atmosphere, of Oxygen).
-
nineteenthly say: No.
-
poldi2 say: Neither have any free oxygen, they both have methane and hydrogen deuteride in their atmospheres.
-
duke_of_urls say: No, their blue is from other gases.
-
Doc say: Nope.
-
say: no, It's from the smelly stinky methane gas under high pressures.
-
Mason say: I see you've been assaulted with spam like I have. Anywho, Uranus and Neptune do have oxygen, just not in the atmosphere as it is so cold that oxygen does not exist as a gas. There may be some, but not alot like here on Earth.
-
Al say: No, and a little checking will tell you exactly what gases their atmospheres have.
-
CarolOklaNola say: No. Uranus and Neptune are that color because of Methane in the atmosphere. Methane absorbs red, orange and yellow light. There may be some oxygen, bu that is not why those planets have those colors.
