When will we get off this God-forsaken rock!

Life on Earth isnt pointless. From an intersteller point of view.Life at all is one of the most remarkable things in existence.-Firstly, when will I be able to freely be able to take a holiday to Mars and/or the Moonand/or Europa and/or the poles of Mercury/any other moons?22nd century at the earliest - sorry to have to tell you that.......

100 years is hard to say. Humans went from no space travel to landing on the moon in about 10 years. I'm going to say no. Human travel to Mars is at the very LEAST 20 years away. After that we will go to moons of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. There is a LOT of exploring to do before we set sail for the stars.

Intergalactic travel is even impossible in Star Trek. With a few super advanced lifeforms being the exception. I'm going to say that intergalactic travel will be impossible forever. Unless you could go 99.99999% speed of light at which relativistic time dilation becomes substantial.

Life on Earth isn't pointless. From an intersteller point of view. Life at all is one of the most remarkable things in existence.

22nd century at the earliest - sorry to have to tell you that.

When will we reach interstellar travel bearing in mind that the nearest one is 4 AU away?
Not within 50,000 years at the earliest.

Do you think the 100 Year Starship interstellar plan will succeed?
It is pure fiction

Do you think we will ever make contact with aliens?
Ah ... no way of knowing this. But we have not had contact as of now. It is the one great "hope" for the future, that aliens will come here.

Do you think we will ever (if we achieved interstellar travel) achieve intergalactic travel?
It is possible - essentially, we'd need to create an artificial earth, with renewable resources that can last millions of years.

Do you think we will ever pay more attention to space exploration rather than our pointless Earth lives and everything else slowing down human exploration of the stars?
No. Politicians can't see beyond the next election. And anything beyond that is of no interest to them. Oh there is one possibility -- we get an astronomer as President (good luck with that)
