I find it a interesting subject to speak about, just the other day I was talking to my science teacher and she said it is likely we would move because our sun would expand and stuff, and she said that its probable that humanity will cease to exists in a phew billion to million years I asked her why and she said its just the circle of life.
So that got be surprisingly kind of sad to think about that everything we have achieved and done will go to waste.... So what does everyone think on the subject and can someone give me a answer to why you think we will become extinct even if its a mad scenario that's really im-probable (No robot ****)
Ok and now for my second one do you think we will abandon our home planet and why. After watching 'After earth' trailer its really got me questioning why we would, and maybe add how this process would take place and what you would think about it!

The sun wont expand to a point where the earth is unlivable for about 6.5 billion years. To put that in perspective, the earth is about 4 billion years old. People have only been on earth for about 5 million years. Ben Franklin only discovered electricity about 300 years ago. So in the past 0.00006% of our existence we went from abacus to smart phones. We have gone from horse drawn carriages to space stations. Just think what will be in 300 more years.
As far as cycle of life. Well, its likely we have a few million years (here on earth that is). However, our species is unique in that we can control our destiny, and manipulate the world around us to our needs. The only true enemy we have is each other. If we don't turn on each other, there is no reason our species can't live forever, populating the cosmos. Why not?
