Do i have to have a maths a level to enter medical school to become a doctor

Hello, i am finding maths difficult and i want to drop it. I have been off school for a month because i was unwell and trying to catch up is like a dog chasing it's own tail. I'M NEVER GOING TO CATCH UP!!! So i was wondering if i could still do my physics, biology and chemistry and drop maths and still enter medical school so i can become a doctor? I have never considered dropping a subject before but thinking of it now makes me feel so relieved so i think it is the best choice.

This totally depends on which country you are in and which medical schools you would like to go to. The best idea would be to approach your school's career counsellor or a teacher that you trust is clued up on these sorts of things. They should help you find out what the requirements of your country are and what the requirements of any particular universities are. Any advice on here may apply to where the answerer comes from, but be completely useless to you if you come from somewhere else.

So, check with some googling, etc and then approach an appropriate person at your school. Alternatively, you could try speak to someone from a local university that offers medicine. They have people whose job it is to answer questions like this. If possible, try arrange a visit with someone from the university student centre and then bring along a list of your questions and a notebook to write things down on. They may also be able to give you a bunch of resources to take home e.g. prospectus, etc.

Just off the top of my head, I would say that you would have a good chance of being able to drop the maths... but you NEED to double-check this to be sure.
