Solar Storm Maximum 2012

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-12-27] [Hit: ]
You can keep up with what is happening or known on spaceweather.com.However, the current solar cycle is expected to reach maximum in early 2013, and that this max will not be particularly high-NASA does not have any solar storm forecast that is more then 10 days in advance. Anything forecast over 10 days has shown to be very inaccurate.......

The last estimates I've seen suggest this solar maximum will be less than those of recent cycles. We did see aurora in Pennsylvania, and that event was seen as far south as northern Florida and Mexico as you pointed out. That was about 10 years ago.

Yes!! HF radio is going to be just SUPER!
I've been looking forward to this since the last solar max. I'll be able to talk around the world on my skinny hundred watts again.

Solar Storms CAN NOT be predicted.

NASA has been predicting that solar activity will peak in May 2013, not 2012 for more than three YEARS, and solar storms and activity has been ramping up for the last two years, and you've probably been entirely unaware of it.
