Nothing, it's advertising, they've done it a bunch of times, Y2K for example. Besides, when 12/21/2012 comes to America it will already be 13/21/2012 in Australia. Even science can fail, we can't be sure of what will happen until it is right in front of us, none of us is certain that he or she will wake up tomorrow.
It's like when everyone was paranoid about the scientific experiments at CERN, the massive particle accelerator thing could have killed us by creating a black hole. We don't know what will happen, and think about it, if the Mayan culture knew about the spanish going to their homeland they surely would've taken action, instead they traded gold for mirrors, and are completely extinct as a prehispanic tribe.

What I know is going to happen on 12/22/2012 is that very gullible people who paid high prices for survival kits and stocked up and spent tens of thousands of dollars on shelters are going to become very angry and start going to lawyers to file law suits against many people and businesses who profited and swindled people by perpetrating the hoax of 2012 being the physical end of the world.

The sun will rise at 6am, I will get up at 11am and finally start my Christmas shopping. I'll go to work at 5pm, the sun will set at 6pm, I'll leave work at 11pm. Go home and chill out til 2am, go to sleep, the sun will rise at 6am on 12/22/2012 and not a damn thing will be any different.

Well .. i think i will wake up. get dressed . brush my teeth . brush my hair . go to school . go to my locker . get my books . go to homeroom . then other classes . tthen lunch . then more classes . then go on the bus . be home . eat a snack . do hw . watch tv . go to bed .
