What evidence is there that the world will end in 2012

Other then the fact that there is Super genius ancient civilizations who's calenders end on December 21, 2012, what other fact is there in this?

There's not a single shred of evidence. The ancient Sumerian's planet "Nibiru" is actually what we know now as Jupiter. We know it's not going to hit us. The more recent hoaxes about "Nibiru" are about a mythical planet, not Jupiter. The Mayans 13th baktun ends in 2012, but 12 others ended prior to it and none of those was a doomsday prediction. In fact, despite what thousands of fools out there believe, the Mayans never made an end of the world prediction. They most certainly did not predict it would end in 2012. That hoax was also created within the last 10 or 20 years or so. I remember when thousands were utterly convinced that the world was ending at the stroke of midnight on 12-31-1999. Didn't happen then and I'd never even heard of the 2012 hoaxes before then. I can't wait for 12-22-2012, just so I don't have to hear gullible fools harp on about it anymore. Of course then someone will just come up with a new doomsday date and more gullible fools will fall for it too.

There is no such evidence.

The is only one ancient civilization that mentioned 2012 -- the Maya -- and their calendar does not "end" on that date. One unit of time in the Long-Count (the baktun) rolls over to a new one, and the calendar keeps going, just like the Gregorian changes from December 31 to January 1 and keeps going.

First of all people are people. I am certain that the Mayans had a super-genius around just as we do today. He was probably measuring densities of materials in volumes of water and writing moving poetry down at the local Llama Burger.

That said, MOST of the Mayans were undoubtedly as stupid as most modern people, believing everything their politicians say, cheering for their local sports team, and trying to cheat on their taxes.
