2012 the start of a new era

"It is difficult to make predictions, especially about the future" Niels Bohr

December 22nd, 2012 will be another regular day.

In order to school people to the truth, I have pre typed this. Here's all the stuff they claim will happen and the truth behind it:

1.Sun crossing the Galactic "Equator" - The Truth: It's ALWAYS at the galactic equator.
2.Sun crossing the Galactic Plane - The Truth: This happens around every 30 million years and happend around 3 million years ago.
3.Solstice Alignment - The Truth: Will never happen because the Earth, Sun, and galactic center are at angles that will not allow them to align.
4.Black Hole Alignment - The Truth: Same answer as number 3, but also would be no problem if it was possible.
5.Dark Rift Alignment - The Truth: It happens every 25,800 years. But the only thing that happens in December is the sun in our line of sight of the "rift". All the rift is is a series of overlapping dust and molecular gas clouds that are positioned between our solar system and the nuclear bulge of the galaxy. It has no significance to us at all what so ever.
6. Nibiru - The Truth: Total fiction, anything with an orbit like that would be so unstable that the gravity from any of planets would have sent it careening off into space on it's first orbit.
7.Planet X - The Truth: Same thing, total fiction. It's proposed by Nancy Lieder who has been wrong about 2 doomsday dates already and claims to have telepathic contact with 2 different races of aliens ... need I say more?
8.Asteroids - The Truth: None are remotely close enough in 2012 for panic.There are 7 total, and the one with the greatest chance of hitting us has a 0.580000000% chance.
9.Comets - The Truth: None nearby in 2012. Elenin passed us this October and broke up as it went around the sun, that's it for a while.
