btw the chicken and egg question is one of the stupidest questions ever asked, and is usually uttered by people who want to look like philosophers but aren't. Same with the tree-in-a-forest question. Without mother how can we have daughter? In the same way Universe can first only after then stars were born and burnt off and some became black holes. The theories that inside a black hole there can be universe's just proposed not even proved and has no evidence.
Egg came first. Cause in evolution the moment a species cannot reproduce with another species its defined itself as a species. So the moment a chicken became a chicken was when the first egg with the not compatible chicken was there.
Chicken came first. Alive before suspended animation. Chicken was probably a bacterium evolved to start with.
