The closer it gets, the more people are talking about it and saying it's true.

Funny, I haven't heard a single person, not even one, talk about it anywhere other than Yahoo!Answers.
Some people will die on May 21st, just as some people die every day, but no more than average. No scientist is expecting anything unusual to happen on that day. It's just another wacky prediction from yet another evangelical Christian sect.

It is NOT May 21st that was predicted as the end of the world.
The Rapture will occur on May 21st, 2011, and that God will completely destroy the earth five months later on October 21, 2011.
So goes the story created by a religious nut:

Well I am just going to say this. I don't think that people can predict when the world is going to end. The world is in God's hand, and he says when the world is going to end and only he knows. It says this in the bible. Here is proof:
Mar 13:32 "No one knows, however, when that day or hour will come---neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son; only the Father knows.
In the verse above it explains that only he knows when the world will end.

The Campingites are religious nuts following into the footsteps of their fellow nuts over thousands of years. Doomsday prophecies have existed for pretty much as long as humans have been on Earth. One thing they all have in common so far is being completely wrong.

I heard Dec 21. Either way, a lot of people have tried to predict the end of the world. I mean A LOT. They've all been wrong or we'd be dead.
If by the off chance they're right then their isn't much we can do so it's just best to stay wherever you are and try to tough it out if possible but it's no use throwing your life away like some people have actually done in the past only to find out the world was still there and now they've got to be hobos.

May 21st?? I think you have your months off. It is supposedly on December 21st 2012 or 12/21/12 at a certain time at night. The common man cannot know when the world ends. No one may know, it'll just happen. I highly doubt it will happen, but the world will not know until it does "end".

Apparently the world ends every few years. I think it's just a matter of getting used to it.

The sun will rise; i will wake up and go to school, come home; the sun will set

Some people will die on that day, others will not.
