Mostly. Male lions are territorial and tend to only fight off other male lions. Female lions care for cubs and do most of the hunting. In smaller packs, however, it has been noted that males will take on some of the hunting duties if they are required to, showing that they, while not incapable of hunting and exerting effort, tend not to.

Yeah the female lions do all the hunting, but you can't blame the male. He worked all day being King of the Jungle, and he actually has to LISTEN to all the female lion's problems. He deserves an award for his patience and hard work.
