Are ostriches violent, vicious, etc

Ostriches look pretty harmless to me. I think that they are quite dearly and delightful. But you guys might have second thoughts.

They are not particularly violent, but they have a sharp claw and strong legs that can kill a person. All animals will defend themselves if threatened or cornered, and the ostrich is no exception. The male, when it is in the breeding season, will protect the female from real and perceived threats. One captive male ostrich, in just such a situation, killed a man that entered its pen.

Think of it as a giant seagull with long legs. It was originally going to be God's weapon in case man rebelled against him, but they were too busy putting their heads in the sand to be of any use, so he just fell back on other people killing each other.

Violent...sometimes, especially the males. Vicious...no. Dangerous....absolutely.

Like Wolverines, Ostriches seem like newborn Lambs in comparison with the average Human.

NO...they're just big stupid birds.
