I live in Minneapolis this year and so far this year there's been a billion low pressure systems go right over my city, yet the most severe rain was probably 0.1 inches/hour with very occasional lightning. And now when I see these fronts/storms pass over me once they get past Minnesota's border they turn into severe thunderstorms with damaging winds, flash flood level rain, and tornadoes. It is literally within 200 miles of the border that this happens each time.
Why the hell is it doing this? I want some damn thunderstorms!

It's because of rising global temperatures, which makes the peak of tornado season and spring to end very fast because there has to be just the right amount of warm, cool, wet, dry, humid, and moist air in the atmosphere, and the warm weather this year has caused it to sometimes be too hot for a tornado. And this year we have actually been experiencing an above average amount of high pressure systems, which causes usually a decrease in temperature in many areas and makes it less likely for a thunderstorm or a tornado to occur. I want thunderstorms too. The weather has been quite boring lately. I also wanted to point out that because of the cold weather we have been experiencing in many areas, the tornadoes we have been experiencing and the thunderstorms are just a small portion of all that will happen the rest of Spring and this summer. Once it gets humid combined with the right amount of low pressure systems yet not too hot and not too cold, we'll get some severe storms. I hope I helped!
