OKAY, So I'm doing my HW, *sCiEnCe* [science] and I came upon a question that confuses me O.o [well, i get the question, I just don't know about this] is 29cm alot of rain *thinks* idk, please help me!

It completely depends what time period you are talking about. If you are talking about a time period of a day then it is alot, if you are talking about a time period of a year then it isn't. It's about 4 months of rain in the UK between January-April.

In a day it is a huge amount of rain. It is a lot of rain in a month as well but in a year it is very little. The definition of a desert is less than 250mm (25cm) of rain in a year so 290mm would be semi-desert. But shorten the time period and it becomes a lot of rain.

that is nearly a foot of rain, in which most places would not be able to handle such rainfall coming down unless the area in question were a rainforest, which can receive about 210-250 cm of rain a week. It all depends on where you live that makes a difference.

29 cm is approximately 9 and 2/3 inches, so that is quite a bit of rain, especially all at once.
