my mom goes to oklahoma on a trip every year and this year she said i could go with her. i would be staying with family while she goes down more south with her sister. i want to go and have been making plans and i told all my teachers that i would be gone for the rest of the week and all my friends think that too, but there is supposed to be REALLY bad weather here tomorrow and im starting to rethink my plans. i would LOVE to go on this trip, but at home tonight/tomorrow we are supposed to get tornadoes and bad storms. my dog, siblings and dad will be home tomorrow (if i go we are leaving early tomorrow morning) and im scared for them. i do not like storms when they get too close like this, its scared me before because our house has gotten nearly destroyed (it missed our house by 10 feet, the tornado) and our area is prone to storms. they've been tracking this system for days in advance and im scared that if i leave something will happen to my family or my puppy or our house will be gone or something. i kind of want to just stay home so i can be there for my family and make sure everything is ok. but i know my grandparents and family want to see me and ive already been looking forward to it. i dont know what to do. i will feel bad and scared if i go, but i will feel bad that i missed it if i didnt go. what should i do? i would feel bad if i left and then our school was under cover all day or my dog was left alone during it. my dog hates storms and my dad and brother left and went to the other side of town during a tornado when me and my mom werent home before and LEFT my dog at home. so i fear for her so nothing happens to her. im completely torn on what to do. what would be safer/better? i just want to be safe and our family to be safe.
Thanks sorry its so long.
advice please? thanks!
God bless XD

Well, as long as your family is aware of the system that is moving in you should be fine. Keep track of the radar in your local area and your hometown when your with your mom.. Go to www.google.com Radar.. (accuweather, livewxradar, weather.com etc) You can also call your family when your with your mom and make sure they're ok during the time of their storm!

I would talk to your family and tell them exactly what you have written here. If hey know your concerns, they will likely be the best ones to know what is best for you. Best wishes and hope that they will come up with an answer that will be more comforting to you.
