Bob say: Fist of all, time. It is not absolute, Einstein proposed that time stretches and compresses with speed of travel, this has not yet been used to prove time travel possible.
The speed of light, again using Einstein, if time is not absolute then speed cannot be absolute as it is a measure of time and distance.
Gravity will alter, becoming weaker as we move away from the centre of the planet, so on a mountain top, gravity will be weaker than on the sea shore.

Philomel say: No actually the speed of light is slower in air than in a vacuum. It is slower in a lens or a fiber optic cable.
We can bend light rays in an optical medium and do lots of weird stuff. It's fun playing with lasers and optics, we can also do it with gravity in a levitation machine (Mag Lev).
