Making its upper atmosphere the most Earth-like area in the Solar System? It seems that's the only one place besides Earth that humans doesn't need to use a space suit, only a oxygen mask.
I've read it on a website, is it really true?

answers:
CarolOklaNola say: Yes, it really is true, but you do you realize it rains sulfuric and and acetic acid on Venus, not water rain? We don't have anti gravity technology, YET. Cities like Stratos in Star Trek the original series will be science fiction for quite some time.

quantumclaustrophobe say: Yes, I've read that as well. There was a proposal, years ago, to float balloons in this layer with plants - the plants would convert the CO2 to oxygen while floating in that temperate layer of the atmosphere.

say: Yes, it's true. You got it right! Few people know about this, they only spread the idea that Venus is a total hell, but it isn't if you analyze in a more comprehensive way.

say: Venus is flat, haven't your teacher told you?
-
Sciencenut say: Yes, it's true. A floating city as in Star Wars, 'The Empire Strikes Back' would be just the ticket for the atmosphere of Venus. One Bar atmosphere and ~70F temperatures at that level. And it would be way above the sulfuric acid clouds. Such a city would need to sail with the wind, making one complete trip around the planet in about 4 days, in order to avoid the high winds associated with staying put in one place.
