In fact the force of gravity is the weakest of the four fundamental forces of nature.
The evidence is in the seat of your pants. If the EMF surrounding the atoms in your chair and in your butt did not exist, your atoms and the chair's atoms would merge and commingle as gravity pulled you down into the pan of the chair. And you'd be stuck with a chair on your butt.
But the repelling force of EMF is stronger than the gravity pulling you into the chair. So your butt and the chair atoms do not mix. Which I think you'll agree is a good thing.
