which truth is mind boggling?

But then you get loadssss of paradoxes like the grandfather paradox-fdfaf say: Existence of time dilation and length contraction in science is more mind blogging. Since they are contrary to our commonsense.-D g say: Time is not absolute whether someone believes it or not ... Also the length of an object changes based on its speed also actually verified.......

To get a little more sci-fi, wormholes. We dont know much about them, and its all theory. But, in theory, potentially maybe backwards time travel could be possible. But then you get loadssss of paradoxes like the grandfather paradox

Time dilation was observed also when studying particles from space and they found too many particles hit the earth they found out that time for the particles view was different from us. This meant time went by slower and the paryicle could move farther.

Not all things in science are easy to understand ...

Jeffrey say: I would say second one

Thomas E say: Both. I believe the speed of light, time and gravity are the same-- nothing goes faster. Discussion?

Mr. Smartypants say: Issac Newton was the one who figured out that orbits are caused by gravity. He did the math (which included inventing calculus!) that proved it to the rest of the world. Our generation grew up with that understanding so we don't find it as mind-boggling as people must have found it in those days.

The speed of light being constant, i.e. no matter which direction you're moving, or at what speed, light always passes you at the same relative speed--now THAT is mind-boggling. It seems at odds with what we already know about physics, which at this point is a lot. Perhaps some brainy hypothetical physicist has offered a good explanation for this phenomenon, but I strongly suspect that even if I read it I wouldn't understand it. It could come down to an error in the way we measure the speed of light. Or that we don't really understand how light works.

SupaStar say: of those two, I would say the second.
