-t = D/v = 40/22.7 = 1.H = ½g*t² = 15.2 m-(40/22.7) = drop time of 1.762 secs.......
A ball thrown horizontally at 22.7 m/s from the roof of a building lands 40.0 m from the base of the building. How high is the building?

-
t = D/v = 40/22.7 = 1.762 sec

H = ½g*t² = 15.2 m

-
(40/22.7) = drop time of 1.762 secs.
Height = 1/2(t^2 x g) = 1/2 (3.104644 x 9.8) = 15.2 metres.

-
x = V_x * t
t = x / V_x

h = gt^2/2
h = (g(x/V_x)^2)/2
