Find the equation of the line parallel to the line x-5y=8 passing through the point (0,0)-Remember, the equation of a line is y=mx+b, where m is the slope and b is where the line hits the y axis. x and y are your variables, and are coordinates of points on the line.......
1. Write the equation of the line with m= 2 and (0,9)

2. find the equation of the line that contains the points (-2,4) and (0,8)

3. Find the equation of the line parallel to the line x-5y=8 passing through the point (0,0)

Remember, the equation of a line is y=mx+b, where m is the slope and b is where the line hits the y axis. x and y are your variables, and are coordinates of points on the line.

On the first one, plug in y, x, and m. Solve for b.

The rest are similar.
