Just curious if an object is decelerating is that objects velocity changing in directions? Thanks

Velocity being a vector quantity consists of magnitude and direction hence while decelerating it is possible that direction is changing or maybe direction is the same and magnitude is changing.Other case would be change in direction as well as decrease in magnitude.

No not necocarily, you could be decelerating IE braking in a car. It is a decrease in velocity but not in direction.
