How come there is more resistance in a circuit with a higher temperature because wouldn't the electrons have more energy to move faster?

Electrons are moved ( "drift") under an electric field.
Higher temperatures just make the ion sites oscillate with higher amplitude, scattering more the electrons out of the path due to electric field.
