Find the velocity and direction.???

An object of mass 50 kg is thrown vertically upward witha velocity 100m/s after 5 sec,it blasts and gets divided in two parts .One part of mass 20 kg goes upward witha velocity 150m/s. find the velocity and direction of the other part

Momentum upwards at moment of blast = 50 . 50 = 2500 kgm/s

Momentum of 20 kg after blast = 20 . 150 = 3000 kgm/s

momentum of the remaining 30 kg must be 500 kgm/s downwards and its velocity will be 500 /30 = 16.67 m/s
