Can someone please sho me hoe to work this out?
A long, straight wire carrying a current of 1.00 A is placed along the axis of a cylinder of radius 0.500 m and a length of 2.00 m. Determine the total magnetic flux through the cylinder.
thankyou!

The net magnetic flux going "through" the cylinder will be zero. When you place the wire along the axis of a cylender the magnetic field created is circling the cylinder.
Studying the intersection of the cylinder, half of the plan will have magnetic flux going into the plan other half of the plan will have magnetic flux going out of the plan. Thus it cancles each other out.
