Ratio of US to Indian is 5/2
Ratio of Indian to British is 5/1
Ratio of US to British is ?
To answer this problem, just make up a random number of stamps. Let's say, Jo has 5 US stamps. If he has 5 US stamps, then he has 2 Indian stamps, based on the ratio.
We know he has 2 indian stamps, so how many british stamps does he have?
Since the ratio of indian to british is 5/1 , Jo has (2/5) British stamps.
This is how i got 2/5 british stamps
5/1 =2/x x=number of british stamps x=2/5
Now we know how many british stamps jo has. We can figure out the ratio of US stamps to British stamps.
US stamps = 5
British stamps = 2/5
ratio of US to British= 5/(2/5) = 25/2 or 12.5
You can make up any number (say Jo had 10 stamps), and you would still get the ratio of 25/2
Hope that helps!

US stamps = 2/55/2 Indian stamps
then Indian stamps = 5/2 US stamps
Indian stamps = 1/5 British stamps
then 5/2 US stamps = 1/5 British stamps
then 2 US stamps = 25 British stamps
US stamps = 25/2 British stamps
I am not sure what do u mean with the ratio of ... is n* to n*'
I think u mean n*' / n*
then Indian stamps = 5/2 US stamps
Indian stamps = 1/5 British stamps
then 5/2 US stamps = 1/5 British stamps
then 2 US stamps = 25 British stamps
US stamps = 25/2 British stamps
