Is the first one supposed to have a bracket: (x+7)?
Anyways #1. (x+7)(x-4) over (x-7)(x-4), cross out the (x-4) on both sides of the fraction. Answer = x+7 over x - 7.

When given (x+7)(x-4)/(x-7)(x-4) you simply cross out the (x-4) on both top and bottom and are left with (x+7)/(x-7).
when dealing with 2x^5/7y^2 * 21y^11/5x^9, Simply cross multiply if I'm not mistaken. You should be left with 147y^22/10x^45.
