Will paranormal phenomenon such as ghosts ever be accepted and embraced by the scientific community?

and NOT as spirits of the dead.-Raymond say: Science has this tendency to accept whatever is proven with solid evidence that any researcher can repeat consistently. Science accepted Lavoisiers proposal that there was a substance called oxygen that was needed in order to have fire (of everyday objects, like wood). Science rejected Bechers proposal that fire was caused by the release of a substance called phlogiston upon the action of heat.Specially when more precise experiments,......

A funny "Catch 22" evidence situation here. The evidence for such quirks of relativistic Physics is rejected because of superstitious traditions of attributing it to "spirits of the dead' ---- And saying such Physics has not been proven yet because" no one has observed the expected effects". Talk about your twisted Logic.

YES, The Phenomena associated with so-called "Paranormal" WILL be accepted----but NOT as defined by the "paranormalists"--- "ghosts" would be accepted as "Seeing living people from another time", for example, and NOT as "spirits of the dead".

Raymond say: Science has this tendency to accept whatever is proven with solid evidence that any researcher can repeat consistently.

Science accepted Lavoisier's proposal that there was a substance called "oxygen" that was needed in order to have fire (of everyday objects, like wood).
Science rejected Becher's proposal that fire was caused by the release of a substance called "phlogiston" upon the action of heat. Specially when more precise experiments, involving very accurate balances, showed that this substance would have a negative mass.

"Paranormal" phenomenon are called that (paranormal) because they have not been properly shown to be "normal". For things such as ghost, there have been so many attempts that it now looks that they will never be shown to be "normal".

PS: it does not even need to be "proven beyond a doubt". Even a theory that allows to predict a ghost every once in a while would probably interest "mainstream" scientists sufficiently for the topic to be included in scientific research (until the theory is proven wrong, or until we get a better understanding of ghosts). We don't even have that, yet.

Matthew say: It may be accepted if it can be proven beyond a doubt, which it will never be.
