I am not just being sarcastic. Many people seem to think that they can both be rational and hold a single view that goes against the prevailing theory. Something like:
Myth of the flat Earth;
You can go Faster-than-light;
The Moon landing hoax; or
Young Earth creationism.
It doesn't work like that. If you want to be rational and have a "crazy" hypothesis, you need to do the work to explain how lots of other people got it wrong. You need to work out the consequences of your hypothesis, develop a theory, make some predictions that distinguish your theory from the prevailing theory, and then run some experiments that demonstrate the difference. If you don't at least attempt to do this you are at least one of:
Irrational;
Lazy; or
Crazy.
The Theory of Relativity starts from a crazy hypothesis that the speed of light is the same in all inertial frames of reference. Einstein did the work from that crazy hypothesis that produced a revolution in Physics. Had he (or someone else) not done the work, it would continue to be dismissed as crazy.
Anyone who thinks Earth is not round must do some work otherwise there is no point in even trying to prove Earth is round, despite the wonderful array of suggestions in the other answers. If they do the work, they will have some evidence for their theory and some decent questions about the prevailing theory. If these are not provided: give up! Don't bother! It can't be proven!
