WHY do doctors always tell me im making this up!

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-08-27] [Hit: ]
now days, i lay in bed all day everyday just feeling blank. i try to tell the doctors what these meds did to me and they dont believe me at all. ive told this to 2 different psychiatrists. a doctor and a couple of nurses. they tell me im making it up and the fact that they dont believe me isnt helping me any :/-Technically the doctors practice medicine,......
in 2005 i was 17 and decided to try my 1st antidepressant. i THOUGHT i was depressed and had problems then, but it turns out the meds they gave me have shown me what depression truly is by making me unable to feel just about anything. and its been permanent. since trying my 1st med i have tried a couple more to try and undo what the 1st med did to me but i failed miserably and made myself worse. and like i said these effects have been permanent even though i havent taken them in about 2 years now. before taking the meds i was active, liked to get out and do things and be around people. now days, i lay in bed all day everyday just feeling blank. i try to tell the doctors what these meds did to me and they dont believe me at all. i've told this to 2 different psychiatrists. a doctor and a couple of nurses. they tell me i'm making it up and the fact that they dont believe me isnt helping me any :/

Technically the doctors practice medicine, they don't know everything about medicine.

Wait a while longer than go kill your doctor

What medications did you try?

I know there a new medications coming out every year, and a lot of them haven't had complete studies for the side effects.
Studies haven't been taken in full for people under the age of 18 either.

A lot of depressant medications have a "numbing" effect, where one can lose complete feeling. But I haven't heard of any being permanent. Remember, that numbness IS a symptom of depression...
In most cases I'd assume it's just coincidence, because of the way that depression works - it's more like a sickness, and if you show any weakness, it'll take advantage of it. If you enjoy something, it'll take away that feeling of enjoyment - if you try to seek help to get rid of it, it'll prevent you from being able to seek help. That's what I've gathered from my experience anyway.
