The zero set is a set that contains the number zero
It even has a special name
Z0 = {0}
"Z-zero"
It is so versatile that it is a field. it meets all the requirements of a group on which you can do additions and multiplications, and the group is "abelian" (you can flip the factors and the multiplication still works).
A field must contain a "0" and a "1"
The role of the zero is defined this way:
A zero is the element that:
-when added to any other element of the field, leaves the other element unchanged
-when multiplied to any other element of the field, turns it to a zero.
Our zero certainly does that, because
0+0 = 0 (the second zero was left unchanged by the addition)
0*0 = 0 (the second zero disappears, leaving only the original zero)
This may sound "stupid" but it does meet the definition, therefore we must accept it.
The role of a "one" is simpler to define (as it involves only the multiplication)
When any other number in the field is multiplied by the "one", the other number is left unchanged:
0 * 0 = 0
the second zero is left unchanged, thereby proving that the first 0 did act as a "one".
Zero may look "stupid" but is, in reality, quite versatile.

Exactly zero is rare, but it is very useful for some purposes.

Well since atheism is a mental disorder it was very easy for Lawrence Krauss to pull the wool over their eyes and fool them into believing that Nothing equals something. Of course people with common sense (non atehists ) could believe something so ridiculously stupid, but atheists know this but in their stubbornness, they will latch onto anything as long as they can have an excuse to deny God's existence.
