( 8x ) ^ -3 = 64

I know it's 1/32

but when i do the math my way i get 2

I take both sides of the equation to the negative 1/3 power but I think the issue is that i need to handle 8 and x completely seperately. Please help!

take the negative third root of both sides (this will get rid of the exponent) then divide the right side by 8
