there is information about integral of g(x), but we do not need this with respect to the only question
a) Calculate
int( f(x) dx, x = 0..2)
Using the given information we have
int( f(x) dx, x = 0...2) = int( f(x) dx, x = 0...4) + int( f(x) dx, x = 2..4)
= int( f(x) dx, x = 0...4) - int( f(x) dx, x = 4...2)
= 5 - 3
= 2
