your ordered pair is (8,Answer (-4,......
4x - 5y = 47

3x + 6y = 6

what's the ordered pair? i get (28,-13) but says its wrong....heellllppp please

-
Multiply the top line by 3 and the bottom line by -4 so it cancels out the x's.

12x-15y=141
-12x-24y=-24

-39y=117
y=-3

Plug it back into an original equation to find x
4x-5(-3)=47
4x+15=47
4x=32
x=8

So, your ordered pair is (8,-3)

-
(4x - 5y = 47)x3=12x-15y=141
(3x + 6y = 6)x4=12x+24y=24

12x-15y=141
12x+24y=24 subtract
0-39y=117
y=117/-39
y=-3

now take either 1 of the original equation and plug in y
3x + 6y = 6
3x + 6(3) = 6
3x+18=6
3x=-12
x=-4

Answer (-4,-3)
