I am terrible at math. But I have been losing weight recently and need to know how to figure out this question. I know that I lost 17lbs in a 60 day period and I want to know how much I lost on average each day. Please show me step by step without using math terms as they confuse me. I do know how to figure a percentage loss or gained but I don't think I want a percentage. But maybe I do.
((Y-X)/X) x 100 = percentage increase
((X-Y)/X) x 100 = percentage decrease
Thanks
((Y-X)/X) x 100 = percentage increase
((X-Y)/X) x 100 = percentage decrease
Thanks

17lb divided by 60days equals 0.2833333lb per day

17lbs/60days :S
percent lost per day is (total wt - lost wt)/total wt
...not sure if serious...but hey im bored enough to answer anyway XD

Another way is 17 lbs = 272 ounces. Divide that by 60 gives you 4 8/15 (a shade over 4 1/2) ounces per day.
