I solved the question and weirdly, the correct answer is not 5.I dont know where you got that number from, but if youve copied the questions accurately, the true answer is positive infinity.Heres the answer: http://www.......
Let f(x)= {5-x^2 x (x+3)/(x-2) x>2
What is the limit as x approaches 2 from the right? I know the answer is 5, but why?

Hi.

I solved the question and weirdly, the correct answer is not 5.

I don't know where you got that number from, but if you've copied the questions accurately, the true answer is positive infinity.

Here's the answer: http://www.4freeimagehost.com/uploads/9d…

The reason why we chose to with (x+3)/(x-2) instead of 5-x^2 is that we're told to get the limit as x is approaching 2 from right; this means that we should chose the piece which belongs to values greater than 2.

Feel free to ask me if you have any additional questions.

Good Luck! :-)
