in other words, is a scientist/ researched the only type of career that deals with Outer space/ Time travel studies or experiments??

No, scientist is NOT the only career available when you are interested in science. Science journalists and reporters and scientific illustrator are other careers connected with science that do not require all the science and math that a science degree requires now. Many people do not have Ph.D. or doctoral level degrees still have successful careers as technicians with just a bachelor's or master's degree.

I am acquainted with some one who is now a lawyer, but she had an internship for several years with Science News, very likely either before or even while she was in law school.
Interest in and some knowledge of basic science and math is needed for these jobs. Scientist is not the only choice for making a living and being paid if you are interested in science. Some computer knowledge of how to do stuff online is advisable, but not required, or courses will be available where you can learn how to put stuff online. Lots of software programs have free trial periods where you can play with the software for two weeks or more. If you decide not to pay for the software and license to run the software, that's fine. I've been using Global Mapper, which is a type of GIS software, for more than six years, but it's functionality is limited because I'm using the freeware version. You might want to play with Corel Draw if you are the artistic type.

National space agencies like NASA (USA), Roscosmos (Russia), ESA (Europe), CSA (Canada), JAXA (Japan), CNSA (China) require a LOT of different skill sets for their astronauts / cosmonauts / taikonauts and supporting staff.
You can major in any one of these in college or specialize in any one of these to have a career working in astronomy.
