Hey, I'll be honest, i have a high iq. In 8th grade I was in algebra 1, but i was dealing with a lot of issues, my mom died along with my brother. So, i had to repeat in 9th, and i did good. Currently I am in 10th grade in geometry, and miserable. It's just too easy, is there a way that i could skip algebra 2 next year and go straight to pre calc?

yes, i too had a similar problem, however i never had to repeat it. i actually dropped out of high school after i took algebra 2 in 10th grade, and now go to a top 5 ranked engineering school in the country.
the high school would never let me skip the class. this was one of the reasons i dropped out. What i ended up taking classes at the local community college as well as high school during the second semester of 10th grade. at the community college i went to, i was able to test out of college algebra, trig and pre calculus.
this was a good option for me, however i do not recommend it for everyone. i do not regret is at all, in fact i am still glad i did it. because of the no child left behind act, the class can only go as fast as the slowest person in the class, which was always way to slow for me. I also had (and still have) severe ADD, so that just added to the problem.
go talk to your high school guidance counselor, she/he should be able to help you. just vent your frustrations with them. my counselor was actually the one that recommended i drop out. they usually give very good advice.
Good luck!!

You may need to show your teacher(s) that you are already strong in algebra. You might want to find out if you can take a placement test to show your algebra skills.
If you got an A in algebra 1, then you have a good chance of doing well in precalculus without taking algebra 2. However, if you got a B in algebra 1, then it may or may not be a good decision to take precalculus without taking algebra 2. I will say that in precalculus, you will most likely need to understand exponents, logarithms, and trigonometry well.
In the meantime, here is a website with some mathematical challenges and diversions.

Definitely, because in most schools, algebra 2 is a review of algebra 1 with a little trigonometry. This is exactly what I did, but I would recommend studying up on the basics of trig functions and conic sections before asking to do this. I see no problem with this.
