Percentage Homework Question? Someone help me remember

Yo people. I am having writers' block and its affecting how i think and i am having a HUGE brain fart. here's the math question:
Susan has 240 CD's. 35% of them are Jazz. how many are jazz?
now i don't need you to help me answer the question, i need you to tell me how to calculate amount from a percent. Total amount: 240 Percent: 35%
SOMEONE HELP ME

multiply 240 and 35%
you change the percent to a decimal and move the decimal place over 2 to the left so you change it to 0.35
you multiply 240 and 0.35
the answer is 84

240*.35 because .35 is 35% of 100 so the answer is 84
