!Thank you!!so set y=0,For the y-intercept,y = 2-plug in numbers.......
I need to find the x and y intercepts of this equation, but I don't know how. Could someone help me?? Please explain how to get the answer step by step!!

Thank you!!

-
The x-intercept occurs when y=0 (the point will be ON the x-axis)
so set y=0, then solve for x

2x + 4(0) = 8
2x = 8
x = 8 / 2
x = 4

For the y-intercept, set x to 0 and solve for y

2(0) + 4y = 8
4y = 8
y = 8 / 4
y = 2

-
plug in numbers. Let x=0

2x+4y=8
2(0)+4y=8
0+4y=8
4y=8
divide each side by 4 to find out whats y value
y=2

and do the same thing with y as 0

-
the x-intercept occurs when y = 0

the y-intercept occurs when x = 0

so, ...

can you find them now ? Try !

[(4, 0) and (0, 2)]

-
Put it in y=mx+b format m means slope

So 4y=2x+8
2 is the rise 4 is the run so you go up 2 over 4 the y intercept is 8

-
I'm doing the same thing and have no clue XD
