What is range of this function? (10 pts)

i'm not sure what the range is of this function because it has a restricted domain.

h(x)=(x-1)/(2x+1)
domain: all real, except x cannot equal -1/2

Is range all real numbers, or do i add the domain restriction? Explain please.

The range is R-{1/2}
There is no value of x for which h(x) = 1/2

1/2 = (x-1)/(2x+1)
==> 2x+1 = 2x-2 ==> 1=-2 which never happens.
