1) -41≤9x+13≤53
2) -54≤9x≤40
3) -6≤x≤40/9
for 3<|x-2| x<-1 or x>5 (in the graph, i bet there is a shaded area, and all you have to do is find the areas where y>3 since y=|x-2|, which makes the question asking where is y>3)
if there wasn't a graph, you would have to do this:
1) 3<|x-2|
2) 3x-2
3) 3+2x-2+2
4) 5x
5) x>5‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹‹x<-1
since x cannot be greater than 5 and less than -1 at the same time so the answer comes out to be x>5 or x<-1

for the top, all you do is split it into 2 inequalities, -41<= 9x+13 and 9x+13<= 53 and solve for x. to graph it, use a number line and use 2 pts and shade the line to the left or right of the pts (depending on the sign of the inequality). if the lines converge in the middle, shade only in the middle, not past the pts
